Moonrise Kingdom + new LSD

Last week Andy and i went to see Moonrise Kingdom. It was.... Adorable!
Its about A pair of young lovers who flee their New England town, which causes a local search party to fan out and find them. Im not good with synopsis's so just go see it, its amazing.

Also.. This week I bought a new desk, which was a mega B*^h to put together (Took me at LEAST 10 hours...) but ended up working out well because now i have two desks to make jewellery at! they are in an L shape so they fit in the room.

I also made a couple of new special necklaces i am super happy with. check them out!

 Galactic Mutation Necklace

Divination Necklace

They both have hand-made chains, which i am really in to making at the moment.

There is also another necklace i made which is a bit simpler + the Tooth Cross is made of Brass, but it is also awesome:

Unholy Crucifix Necklace

Anyway. Im tired. I spent nearly two hours at the after hours clinic tonight with an oogey bladder infection. Time for sleeeep! (And watching TV in bed, YEAH! Sooo loving having a new tv in our bedroom. HD, LCD 42 inches for $600!!!! I love the prices TVs are here..)

  1. Your cast pieces are BEAUTIFUL! Like, oh my god, stunning. Do you cast in Delft Sand? Or do you make cast female molds?

  2. Hey!!! Thanks so much! I have moulds of the jewellery/items and then they are cast using the lost wax method. :) Are you a jeweller too?

  3. I make jewelry and am trying REALLY hart to get into casting and a bit more smithing. I work full time in a bead store (day job) but by night I am the hero this city needs. ...er I mean I make my own line of jewelry. Your stuff makes me feel SO inadequate though.

  4. Your jewellery is awesome! Don't be silly. You need to find a jewellery casting place. That way you can carve what you like out of wax, or give them any items you would like to cast, and they can make moulds and cast them for you. Its too expensive to do yourself (the tools etc - unless you have been casting for years! and have like 30 grand saved..) so i get others to pour the metal lol. Otherwise you could always find a casting class, or a studio that rents benches and has all the equipment! I started metal smithing at a night class and it was awesome! Anyway hope that helped! metalsmithing is soo fun you should defo give it a whirl.
